Simple Mode — Bulk Content Generation
Simple Mode is the fastest way to generate articles. Enter your topics, configure your settings, and hit generate. The platform handles everything else.
Accessing Simple Mode
When you open the Generator tab, Simple Mode is selected by default. You'll see a 3-way mode selector at the top right of the page:
- 📝 Simple (default) — One topic per line, fast bulk generation
- 📊 Advanced — Spreadsheet-style with per-row SEO control
- 🔄 Programmatic — Template-based generation from data sources
Click Simple to enter this mode.
Topics & Keywords Input
The main input area is a large text box labeled Topics & Keywords. Enter one topic per line using this format:
Topic Title | keyword1, keyword2, keyword3
Examples:
Benefits of AI | efficiency, automation, cost savings
Future of SEO | semantic search, ai content, google updates
Best Coffee Beans 2026 | arabica, robusta, specialty coffee
The pipe character (|) separates the topic from its target keywords. Keywords are comma-separated. If you skip the pipe, the platform uses the entire line as both the topic and the primary keyword.
Generation Settings Panel
Above the topics input, you'll find the Generation Settings card. This is where you configure how every article in the batch gets written.
Model Selection
Two dropdowns let you pick your AI provider and specific model:
- Provider: OpenAI, Claude, DeepSeek, Perplexity, Grok, Gemini, Kimi
- Model: Lists all models discovered for the selected provider (plus a "Default Model" fallback)
Click Refresh Models to pull the latest available models from each provider using your API keys.
Word Count
Toggle between two modes:
- Auto — The AI determines the appropriate article length based on the topic and any research context
- Custom — You set a specific word count target
When Custom is selected, a number input appears alongside quick-select preset buttons: 1k, 1.5k, 2k, 2.5k, 3k, 5k.
Prompt Mode
Choose how the system prompt is constructed:
- ✦ Optimized — Uses the platform's built-in SEO-optimized prompt. You can add supplemental instructions in the "Additional Instructions" field that appears below (tone, style, brand voice).
- Custom — Opens a full prompt editor where you write your own user prompt. Available template variables:
{{TOPIC}},{{KEYWORDS}},{{CONTEXT}},{{LENGTH}}. A "Reset to Default" button restores the original template.
AI Enhancements
Expand the ✨ AI Enhancements section to control three features. A badge shows how many are active when collapsed.
🔬 Deep Research
When enabled, your chosen research provider (default: Perplexity Sonar Pro) searches the web for each topic before the AI writes. Articles are grounded in live data instead of training knowledge alone.
- Research Model dropdown — Select which research provider performs the web search. Options that lack an API key are grayed out and labeled "no key."
- The generation button text changes from "Start Bulk Generation" to "Start Research & Generation" when this is on.
✍️ Humanize Content
Runs a second AI pass over each generated article to reduce detectable AI patterns. The badge reads "Extra Credits" because it consumes additional API tokens.
📎 Source Citations
Only available when Deep Research is enabled (grayed out otherwise). Adds verified source links from the research phase into the final article.
- Citation count slider — Set between 1 and 5 source links per article
Content Structure
Expand the Content Structure section to configure what structural elements appear in every generated article.
❓ FAQ Section
Generates a Q&A section within each article. When enabled, a nested FAQ Schema toggle appears so the FAQ markup gets wrapped in structured data for search engine rich results.
📊 Data Table
Includes comparison or summary tables within each article's body.
🏷️ Meta Description
Generates an SEO meta description alongside each article.
🔗 Internal Linking
Automatically inserts links to relevant pages on your site. Shows the count of URLs available for linking (pulled from your sitemap configuration in Settings).
A nested Cross-Linking toggle (labeled "BATCH") enables linking between articles within the same generation batch.
Context Injector
Below the settings, a collapsible Context Injector panel lets you attach context to every article in the batch:
- Knowledge Base items — Select any KB entries you've created (brand voice docs, style guides, product facts). These get injected into the prompt context so the AI references them during writing.
- 📢 CTAs for Publishing — If you've created Call-to-Action blocks, they appear in a separate section. Select which CTAs should be injected into articles during WordPress publishing. Each CTA shows its placement type (bottom, random, after_intro).
Starting Generation
Once your topics and settings are configured, click the large button at the bottom:
- "Start Bulk Generation" — Standard generation without research
- "Start Research & Generation" — When Deep Research is enabled
A celebration modal appears ("We're on it! Go make yourself a cup of tea ☕") while the platform processes your batch. Articles generate one at a time, and results appear in the output section below.
Keyboard Shortcut
Press Cmd+Enter (Mac) or Ctrl+Enter (Windows) to trigger generation without clicking the button.
Resume Generation
If a batch is interrupted (browser close, network issue), a green Resume button appears next to the generate button. Click it to pick up where you left off.
Output & Results
Generated articles appear in a results list below the input area. From there you can:
- Preview any article's full content
- Download individual articles or the entire batch
- Publish directly to WordPress (if connected)
- View SEO scores for each article
See Article Editor & Review for details on editing and publishing individual articles.
