My Achilles heel with this machine turned out to be an unexpected one: The touchpad! Right-clicks were often misinterpreted causing all sorts of pandemonium and forcing me into mouse-only mode.
The keyboard isn’t far better either —the keys feel flat offering little tactile feedback during typing sessions. And coming from Alienware keyboards? You’re in for quite an adjustment period.

After spending nearly a month juggling between love-hate feelings towards my Dell XPS 17, here’s where I stand: Despite significant pros such as solid build quality and high performance levels, it’s hard to overlook fundamental flaws like unstable touchscreens or short-lived batteries – especially at this price point!
