Introduction
After an entire month of using the Dell XPS 13 9315 Intel i7, I can confidently say I am impressed. It’s been a game-changer, making every day tasks more efficient and my digital experience more enjoyable. Lightweight, sleek, and packed with impressive features – here’s what I think:Portability
This laptop is the ultimate on-the-go companion. Honestly speaking, it’s the most portable device I’ve ever used – so lightweight, so thin! With this Dell XPS model, taking your office or entertainment platform wherever you go has never been easier. The long battery life is simply icing on the cake. Streaming Netflix for up to 12 hours without having to scramble for a charger? Yes please!Awe-inspiring Display and Sound
The FHD+ non-touch display provides such vivid colours that it makes watching my favourite shows an absolute treat. It brings a cinematic anywhere experience which is just brilliant! And if you are concerned about sound, rest assured; it has larger internal speakers that provide louder sound and deeper bass – just perfect for those movie marathons.Performance
This beast runs on the latest 12th Gen Intel processor which gives me 1.5x higher performance than its previous version! What’s more attractive is the Dell Performance application; it lets me customize how my laptop performs by offering different modes like quiet, ultra-performance or cool mode based on my requirements. Now don’t get spooked when I mention ‘ultra-performance’. Yes, your system may run slightly warmer in this mode but hey, who doesn’t like a thoroughbred workhorse? Just switch to ‘cool mode’ if you’re looking for less fan noise and temperature control.Login Experience: Fast & Secure
The dual-sensor camera improves picture quality even in low light which means no huffing and puffing during video calls because of poor lighting conditions. Plus there’s ExpressSign-in feature paired with Windows Hello . This feature quickly detects when you are present (or not) to securely sign you in or out of your laptop; no passwords typing needed! Overall after a month with this incredible gadget by Dell – I can vouch for its functionality and performance making it worth every buck! A great pick whether you’re buying your first laptop or looking to upgrade. My Thoughts On Dell XPS 15 After 1 Month Of Use
My Initial Thoughts
First off, let me say that I was quite apprehensive about purchasing the Dell XPS 15 since there were some mixed reviews out there. However, after a month of using it, I am more than satisfied with my purchase.Performance and Usage
I’ve found this computer to be perfect for my needs. While I haven’t put it through any heavy loads like gaming or video editing (which some have said is quite good), it has handled all my regular tasks (like browsing, watching videos and using Microsoft Office) without any issues.Design & Feel
This laptop is absolutely beautiful to look at and use. The keyboard is wonderful; the keys are easy to find even in low lighting thanks to the lighted keys feature. The trackpad is large and easy to use and doesn’t have any wobbling issues that others had reported on their units.Battery Life
Battery life on this thing can vary greatly depending on what you’re doing – sometimes lasting me all day without needing a charge whereas other days requiring a charge after only 4-5 hours of use.The Not-So-Greats
There are a couple of downsides though: 1- No built-in CD/DVD drive: A bit of an annoyance as you’ll need to buy an external one if you want that functionality. 2- The camera quality: While not terrible, it’s pretty subpar for today’s standards. Oddly enough, though the laptop feels very premium overall; ordinary levels of bass from the speakers can cause an annoying buzz through the body of the machine!A Few Additional Notes
One thing I found helpful was uninstalling some unnecessary bloatware – including McAfee and Dell PremierColor – which helped optimize performance. Also make sure you update your Dell drivers when you get it set up! Also worth noting: If you’re considering purchasing this from Amazon over Dell because of next day arrival time vs 1 month direct from Dell – beware! It turns out that some listings may not match up with what you actually receive – like receiving a non-touch screen when expecting touch functionality! Overall though, coming from an old 2012 laptop, this XPS15 is miles better in every way and makes me proud to be part of team Dell again. In conclusion: yes it’s pricey but given its power & sleek design – worth every penny! If you’re thinking about getting this computer… just go for it! You won’t regret your decision.Dell XPS 13 9315 Intel i7 vs Dell XPS 15 Buyer FAQs
